FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

A: Typically 2 hours is scheduled for the first appointment. You and your Homeopath will discuss what your symptoms are and why you are seeking Homeopathic treatment. The Homeopath will ask you several questions about what’s going on, how long you’ve been suffering, and about your personal past history. The smallest details are key and highly important to uncovering the right Homeopathic remedy. Questions on how you sleep, what you like to eat, what type of weather you prefer, and what you like to do are all common questions that help the Homeopath. The appointment can be done over the phone, a video meeting online, or in person.

A: A follow-up appointment is always advised. This allows you to address any questions you have after your initial meeting and remedy dose. It also allows the Homeopath to see what progress has been made and if a second dose or different remedy is needed. The duration of appointment is typically 30 minutes and can be done over the phone or in person.

A: The remedy is tasteless. In pellet form, you simply let it dissolve under the tongue to be received into the body sublingually. Your Homeopath will provide detailed instructions on how to take it and when to take it. Remedies can also be given in liquid form. This is where the remedies are dissolved in water. Again, your Homeopath will provide detailed instructions on how to take it so there is no confusion. Because the remedies are tasteless and odorless, children and pets typically have no problem taking it and think it’s a treat or candy.

A: When your symptoms subside or lessen in degree you know it’s working. The time it takes to start working can vary. Remedies can take anywhere from 30 seconds to 30 minutes to days for you to start noticing the change. At times you won’t be aware but family members will say, “Wow that remedy really worked, I notice a change in you already!” If you do not notice any relief or change and you have cause for question, please contact your Homeopath to discuss.  Often times we forget the symptoms we had once they are no longer an issue.  Your Homeopath will go over what symptoms you had and were struggling with one by one at the follow up appointment to see how everything is feeling at that point.
